Town Hall on Women in the Workforce Coming to NW Arkansas September 17

ROGERS, AR – On Wednesday, September 17, United WE, a national, non-partisan nonprofit,  will host a Town Hall in Rogers, Arkansas to hear from community members on the barriers and opportunities facing women in Northwest Arkansas. The event will bring together women from across Northwest Arkansas and local public officials for a sharing and listening session focused on the key factors and barriers affecting women’s participation in the labor force.

Hosted at the Center for Nonprofits at St. Mary’s in Rogers, this in-person, over-lunch conversation will provide an open and respectful space for women to share their stories, experiences, and ideas — and for public officials to listen, learn, and engage directly with constituents.

Participants will receive an Amazon gift card as a thank-you for their time and insights.

The event is part of a statewide listening and learning initiative United WE is launching in partnership with Ash Grove. Through a series of in-person and virtual town halls, United WE will gather insights, stories, and data to inform policy recommendations that support women’s economic development—focusing on issues like childcare, family leave, occupational licensing, and entrepreneurship.

United WE is committed to hearing from a range of voices across Arkansas’s geographic regions. In-person town halls will be hosted in September in Foreman and Rogers, Arkansas, followed by a statewide virtual session to continue gathering firsthand insights from women across the state.

United WE will use the input received in the listening tour to publish a qualitative report with findings and recommendations for advancing women’s economic and civic leadership in the region.
